For the VIS COM Village Fete I have teamed up with Emma Fish and Joes Alexis to produce handmade cards to sell. As its nearly Christmas, they will be Christmas cards. I decided to make mine using felt and handstitching. I came up with a few design ideas and cut them out and pinned down to sew. I really enjoy working with materials, and this is the first time I have produced work with the intention to sell. I need to consider my target audience when making and think about how much to sell the cards for, they must not be too much as its mainly students who are going to buy them!
Our stall, ready to go! Joe made the bunting, bright and bold to catch people's eye, and we used bright paper and material to cover the table, then layed sweets around too to entise people!
I really enjoyed the process of making and selling with a specific product and goal. It was interesting working with Emma and Joe as we were producing work with the same basis idea, however our approaches very different. I feel we were successful and worked well together, we raised a lot of money too! A good day and big learning curve.
